Relay For Life Hancock County is raising funds for the America Cancer Society this Saturday. Cancer has affected so many people, including people we know. It can happen to you or a loved one. So that being said, and after being locked up in our homes for so long, both during the winter and for a lot longer because of Covid 19, it will be fun. And the weather seems to be cooperating too. Brandy Marchetti, who is a very active Hancock Relay For Life volunteer, says:
“We are proud to give hope to the community who did not have many opportunities to go out and participate in fun events like this”
The event is a community garage sale and craft fair, and it will take place at Arcadia Area ATVs, 3 Wyman Road in Hancock, on the Downeast Sunrise Trail in Hancock County this Saturday starting at 9 h and until 3 p.m.
Donations for sale are always solicited and you can always rent a vendor’s table for sale by contacting Brandy at [email protected] The spaces are 20 x 10, and you will need your own folding table and chair. The cost is $ 25 table fee and you keep the proceeds of what you sell. This $ 25 table fee is a donation to ACS / Relay For Life of Hancock Co, ME. Table charges will be waived if you donate the proceeds of what you sell to the cause.
In addition, there will be refreshments for sale, including burgers and hot dogs.
If you plan to participate by getting a table, don’t hesitate, there are only a few places left.
And if you are going to participate while shopping, have fun, be careful and gently remind yourself that there will also be Relay For Life items for sale, which is a great way to help the cause and get back in. at home with cool stuff.
